Submission Policy

1. Introduction

Thank you for considering submitting your project idea to Fin Studio Pictures ("the Studio"). Please read the following submission policy carefully before submitting your idea. By submitting your idea, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Submission of Ideas

2.1. All project ideas submitted to the Studio must be original works created by the submitter(s). By submitting an idea, you affirm that you hold all legal rights, intellectual property, and copyrights associated with the submitted project. Any previously published or produced works must be disclosed at the time of submission.

2.2. Submission of an idea does not guarantee acceptance or further action by the Studio. The Studio reserves the right to reject or decline any project submission at its sole discretion, without obligation or liability to the submitter(s). The Studio will not provide feedback or critiques on rejected submissions.

2.3. Submissions must be made through the designated submission form provided by the Studio. Any submissions made through other channels will not be considered. The Studio is not responsible for any lost or incomplete submissions.

3. Review and Evaluation

3.1. The Studio will review and evaluate all submitted ideas based on its internal criteria and guidelines. The review process may take up to 6 months from the date of submission. The Studio may request additional information or materials from the submitter(s) during the review process.

3.2. If the Studio is interested in further development of a submitted idea, it may enter into negotiations with the submitter(s) regarding the terms of rights acquisition, distribution, and any other relevant agreements. The Studio reserves the right to terminate negotiations at any time, for any reason.

 

4. Development Period

4.1. Upon acceptance for further development, the Studio and the submitter(s) agree to a development period of 12 months from the date of acceptance. During this period, the Studio may collaborate with the submitter(s) to further develop the idea jointly. The Studio will provide regular updates on the progress of development to the submitter(s).

4.2. If the submitted idea is near completion of development at the time of acceptance, the Studio may opt to review and develop the idea further  if it is deemed to be progressed further within the studios remit. In such cases, the Studio will notify the submitter(s) of its decision and provide details on the status of the project.

 

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1. The submitter(s) retain all legal rights, intellectual property, and copyrights associated with the submitted project idea. However, by submitting an idea to the Studio, the submitter(s) grant the Studio a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to review, evaluate, and potentially develop the idea. The Studio will not use or disclose the idea for any purpose other than evaluation and development without the express consent of the submitter(s).

5.2. If the Studio decides to proceed with the development of the submitted idea, the parties will enter into a separate agreement outlining the terms of rights acquisition, compensation, credit attribution, and any other relevant provisions.

 

6. Confidentiality

6.1. The Studio agrees to keep all submitted ideas confidential and to use them solely for the purpose of evaluation and potential development. However, the Studio cannot guarantee the confidentiality of ideas submitted through electronic means. The submitter(s) are advised to take appropriate measures to protect their ideas before submission.

6.2. The Studio will not disclose the details of submitted ideas to third parties without the consent of the submitter(s), except as required by law or court order. The Studio will take reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of submitted ideas, but shall not be liable for any unauthorized disclosure or use of such ideas by third parties.

 

7. Indemnification

7.1. The submitter(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Studio, its affiliates, partners, employees, and representatives from any claims, demands, or legal actions arising out of or related to the submission, review, or development of the submitted idea, including but not limited to claims of copyright infringement, breach of contract, or violation of intellectual property rights.

 

8. Governing Law

8.1. This submission policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to this submission policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

 

9. Acceptance of Terms

9.1. By submitting an idea to the Studio, you hereby confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them in their entirety. Failure to comply with any provisions herein may result in the rejection of your submission or the termination of any agreements entered into between you and the Studio.
